Light Magic · healing / cleansing
Cleanse
Cleanse addresses one ordinary poison, disease, or weak dark effect on a creature or item. It suits an adventure in which restoring Hit Points alone is not enough. Its value lies in removing a specific problem rather than generally washing a surface. The caster should determine the nature of the condition they are trying to end.
According to the catalog, a powerful curse requires Break Curse and cannot automatically be treated as a weak effect. Cleanse has limited use per target per scene and requires being within reach. The party may therefore need knowledge, further investigation, or a different ritual. The spell does not also add unlisted restoration of Hit Points or permanent immunity.
Exact effect: Ends one ordinary poison, disease, or weak dark effect. A powerful curse requires Break Curse. Target: 1 creature or item within reach. Duration: instantaneous. Restrictions: once per target per scene. Using it requires at least Intelligence 6, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
