Healing

Healing is basic help for the caster or an ally they can reach. In a story, it can capture an important moment of care after an encounter or support a companion who still needs to continue. The result is not always a fixed number of Hit Points: the stated base is adjusted by the healing coefficient, and restoration stops at the target's maximum.

The party needs to choose whom the help will benefit most. A shared limit on HP-restoring spells applies per combat per caster, so a different healing spell name does not automatically grant another use. Healing itself does not remove every poison, disease, or curse. Restoring Hit Points must be distinguished from dealing with the cause that still threatens the character.

Exact effect: Restores HP according to the healing coefficient, up to the target's maximum. Bonus: base 4 HP before the healing coefficient. Target: caster or 1 ally within reach. Duration: instantaneous. Restrictions: shared limit: 1 HP-restoring spell per combat per caster. Using it requires at least Intelligence 6, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.

Meeting requirements is not enough

Min. INT and Min. Level only allow a spell to be learned. The character must actually acquire it through leveling, a teacher, a book, a scroll, a reward, a discovery, or the story.
