Minor Illusion

Minor Illusion creates a small intangible image or sound. Its interest lies in the caster's idea and how those nearby react to the apparition. It can form part of a performance or an attempt to distract, but has no physical effect of its own. An illusory item cannot stop a real attack or support a hero's weight.

Anyone interacting with the illusion directly can see through it according to the prescribed comparison of defense and attack. The outcome is therefore not automatically the same for every observer. Only one apparition can be active, and its duration is short. Consider the space, circumstances, and target's reaction rather than assuming everyone will unconditionally believe any image.

Exact effect: Creates an intangible image or sound. Anyone interacting with it directly compares their MDEF with the caster's MATK; a successful defense reveals the illusion. Bonus: +0 to MATK when the illusion is scrutinized. Target: an image or sound in a space up to 2 m. Duration: 3 rounds. Restrictions: 1 active; no physical effect. Using it requires at least Intelligence 7, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.

Meeting requirements is not enough

Min. INT and Min. Level only allow a spell to be learned. The character must actually acquire it through leveling, a teacher, a book, a scroll, a reward, a discovery, or the story.
