Lucky Break
Once per adventure, turn your own failed virtual roll into a narrow success. Do not reroll; this is the minimum success required, with no extra advantage.
Starting hero · Level 1
A halfling healer is an attentive helper who often gets to know people closely and notices the group's everyday needs. The character may grow up in a small village, accompany a caravan, or search for a missing teacher. Low strength increases the importance of light equipment and cooperation. Luck offers one exceptional rescue from failure, but the most reliable help still comes from preparation, knowledge, and the willingness to ask others for support in time.
Within the party, the healer helps decide when to treat injuries, use a known healing spell, and secure safe rest. First Aid is a separate ability and does not consume the magical healing limit. The HP restored depends on actual Intelligence and cannot exceed the patient's maximum. A good healer needs room to work and support from others; preventing danger is often as valuable as another use of healing magic.
The racial ability Lucky Break turns the character's own failed virtual roll into a narrow success once per adventure. The roll is not repeated; this is the minimum success required, with no additional advantage. The class adds First Aid: once per battle, restore ⌈INT/2⌉ HP to yourself or one ally, up to their maximum. This is not a healing spell and does not consume the magical healing limit. Choose starting equipment according to the requirements this particular hero meets. The listed values form the basis of a level-one character; personality, name, relationships, and the reason for adventuring are decided during character creation.
