Stone Spear

Stone Spear is a stronger earth attack focused on a single visible target. It can mark an important moment in combat when the caster draws on the greater power of their school. Its spear-like appearance does not create a separate ordinary weapon for later use, and its name alone does not add penetration against every kind of protection.

One use per combat is a reason to choose the target carefully. The attack is resolved against magical defense, and the resulting damage is not automatically identical on every cast. The spell lists no area hit or lasting entrapment of the opponent. In the party's planning, it can serve as one stronger option that needs the others to follow up.

Exact effect: A powerful single-target earth attack against the target's MDEF. Bonus: +4 to MATK. Target: 1 target within sight. Duration: instantaneous. Restrictions: once per combat. Using it requires at least Intelligence 9 and Level 3, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
