Stonecrafter's Touch
Stonecrafter's Touch performs small-scale work on a nonmagical stone that fits in the palm. It can help create a simple form and suits a caster who uses magic as part of everyday craftsmanship. It is not an unlimited stoneworking workshop: the precision and kind of result are restricted, and the spell does not make the original material rarer.
It is useful where a simple shape is enough, such as a small preparation or a gift within the story. It cannot create a precise key, a weapon, or a gemstone. Only one alteration can be made to the same item, so it makes sense to consider the desired shape in advance. More demanding construction work or fine crafting requires another appropriate approach.
Exact effect: Shapes a small piece of nonmagical stone into a simple form. Cannot create a precise key, a weapon, or a gemstone. Target: a stone no larger than a palm. Duration: instantaneous. Restrictions: 1 alteration per item. Using it requires at least Intelligence 5, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
