Ice Wall

Ice Wall creates a short-lived obstacle that blocks movement and sight. It is useful for separating part of an area or buying time when the party needs to change its approach. The rules define its durability in Hit Points and physical defense; it is not an indestructible boundary that every opponent must simply stop before.

The wall appears along an unobstructed line and has a limited length and duration. Placement requires considering the party's own route and an enemy's ability to damage the obstacle. When the effect ends, it melts without causing a dangerous flood. It cannot therefore be used as an automatic source of another area attack or have its dimensions changed without limit to suit the caster's wishes.

Exact effect: Creates an obstacle with 10 HP and PDEF 12 that blocks movement and sight. When the effect ends, it melts without causing a dangerous flood. Bonus: does not increase PDEF or MDEF; the wall has PDEF 12. Target: an unobstructed line up to 4 m long. Duration: 3 rounds. Restrictions: once per combat. Using it requires at least Intelligence 10 and Level 5, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.

Meeting requirements is not enough

Min. INT and Min. Level only allow a spell to be learned. The character must actually acquire it through leveling, a teacher, a book, a scroll, a reward, a discovery, or the story.
