Ice Bolt
Ice Bolt is a direct attack of the Water and Ice school against a single visible target. Its appearance can emphasize piercing cold and precise aim, but the outcome follows the standard resolution of a magical attack. It does not freeze the surrounding area or create a lasting item that the party could use again later.
It suits a situation in which the caster needs a clearly aimed attack against a specific opponent. Damage depends on the opponent's magical defense and the attack result. The spell itself does not add slowing or a prohibition on movement simply because it uses ice. Such additional effects must be distinguished from those of other spells that explicitly list them.
Exact effect: A direct ice attack; damage is calculated against the target's MDEF. Bonus: +2 to MATK. Target: 1 target within sight. Duration: instantaneous. Restrictions: —. Using it requires at least Intelligence 7, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
