Plant Growth
Plant Growth shapes living plants into a simple, useful form, such as a ladder, shelter, small bridge or passage. It can help the party use the landscape instead of destroying it. In the story, it offers room for inventive solutions, but requires suitable plants and a limited area. It does not allow unrestricted creation of an entire forest from bare stone.
The result lasts one scene, so the party needs to consider its return journey and any further use. The spell does not restrain a creature; Roots provides that option. The party should plan a specific shape and its role in their approach. A practical change to vegetation should not be taken to grant additional automatic attacks, permanent construction or changes to the landscape on any scale.
Exact effect: Accelerates growth into a ladder, shelter, small bridge or passage. It does not restrain a creature; Roots serves that purpose. Target: living plants in an area of up to 3 m. Duration: instant; the result lasts 1 scene. Limit: once per scene. Use requires at least INT 7, the appropriate spellcasting ability and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
