Wisp
Wisp is a small, practical spell for dark corridors, evening reading, and moments when the party would rather not look for another torch. Its harmless glow can illuminate an object or a chosen point. It suits a wizard who uses magic for ordinary help and comfort as well as dangerous encounters.
During exploration, it makes the surroundings easier to see, but does not itself identify a trap or hidden opponent. The caster must also consider whether the light will reveal the party's presence. It can be turned off at any time, which helps when plans change. Its limited range and single active light source must also be respected when illuminating a larger space.
Exact effect: Creates harmless light with a range of about 5 m. The caster can turn it off at any time. Target: a point or object within reach. Duration: 1 hour. Restrictions: at most 1 active. Use requires at least Intelligence 5, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
