Magic Sound
Magic Sound creates a short, simple sound nearby. It might resemble a knock, a chime, or another basic signal, making it useful to a wizard who works with the attention of those around them. Its strength lies in an inventive idea and good timing. The spell cannot create a lengthy performance or a convincing conversation in a particular person's voice.
The party can use it as a brief signal or an attempt to distract someone, but a listener's reaction is not guaranteed. A suspicious guard may interpret the sound differently from a curious animal. Choosing a point within range and accounting for the short duration are essential; this spell cannot imitate the intelligible speech of a specific person.
Exact effect: Creates a simple sound lasting no more than 6 seconds. Cannot imitate the intelligible speech of a specific person. Target: a point within 10 m. Duration: at most 1 round. Restrictions: at most 1 active. Using it requires at least Intelligence 5, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
