Magical Cleaning
Magical Cleaning deals with the everyday dirt and unpleasant smells that accompany an expedition as faithfully as adventure itself. It cleans a small item or area without damaging it. In a story, it can prepare a hero for a meeting with someone important or reveal details on a surface previously hidden by mud and dust.
A clean appearance does not guarantee safety. A cleaned container may still contain poison, and a damaged item remains damaged. The spell is a practical aid to maintenance, rather than a general cure or a means of removing curses. During an investigation, it is also worth considering whether the dirt itself holds a clue that premature cleaning would erase.
Exact effect: Removes ordinary dirt, mud, dust, or odors without damaging the item. Target: an item or an area of up to 1 m². Duration: instantaneous. Restrictions: does not remove poison, curses, or damage. Using it requires at least Intelligence 5, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
