Telepathy
Telepathy creates a connection for short sentences and simple images between the caster and one willing creature they know. It can help when the party splits up over a short distance or cooperates silently. This is deliberately shared communication rather than unlimited access to the other person's memories, secrets, and unsent thoughts.
The target must be within sight at the start, and the connection has a limited range and duration. Only one such connection exists, so it is not an automatic network for every member of the expedition. In a story, it is useful to agree on brief messages and a plan in advance. The spell makes cooperation easier but does not supply information the participants do not themselves know.
Exact effect: Allows two-way transmission of short sentences and simple images. Does not read thoughts that are not sent. Target: 1 willing, known creature within 100 m. Duration: 10 minutes. Restrictions: 1 connection; the target must be within sight at the start. Using it requires at least Intelligence 8 and Level 2, the appropriate casting ability, and knowledge of this spell. Meeting the numerical requirements alone does not grant knowledge of the spell.
