Stone Sense
In a relevant stone or underground environment, automatically identify cavities, secret passages, unstable rock, high-quality ore, or unusual properties of stone.
Starting hero · Level 1
A dwarf ranger is a natural guide through rocky landscapes, quarries, and mountain roads. The character may seek safe passes for a settlement or follow tracks that disappear underground. Stone Sense complements experience on the trail, while ranger training strengthens movement and exploration. This combination suits a player who wants to bring practical strength together with discovery and concern for the whole group's safety.
Within the party, the ranger helps plan routes, follow usable tracks, and recognize changes in the landscape. Before entering a dangerous place, the character can investigate approaches, cover, and ways back. Tracking does not reveal every creature's identity or intentions; the information needs to be combined with other clues. The ranger is therefore useful when rescuing a missing person, finding water, and deciding when the group should stop.
The racial ability Stone Sense automatically reveals cavities, secret passages, unstable rock, high-quality ore, or unusual properties of stone in a relevant stone or underground environment. The class adds Tracker: automatically determine the direction in which a sought person or animal departed, provided usable tracks exist. Choose starting equipment according to the requirements this particular hero meets. The listed values form the basis of a level-one character; personality, name, relationships, and the reason for adventuring are decided during character creation.
