Starting hero · Level 1

Elf – Rogue

An elf rogue combines discreet movement with sharp eyesight and sound judgment. The character may follow a suspect, explore an abandoned residence, or help the party gather information without an open confrontation. Visible details are easy to notice, but sight alone reveals neither a secret intention nor a perfectly concealed mechanism. This combination suits a player who enjoys exploration, observation, and thoughtful cooperation.

Within the party, the rogue helps gather information, pass unnoticed, and gain access using suitable tools. The greatest contribution often comes before combat, when scouting helps the group understand what it can avoid. Soft Steps makes ordinary sneaking easier, but an exceptional obstacle may require a roll and the ability cannot create cover where none exists. Others' trust depends on the rogue's decisions, so defining personal boundaries and an attitude toward other people's property is useful.

The racial ability Keen Sight automatically reveals a distant visible detail, tracks, or movement unless they are magically or objectively hidden. The class adds Soft Steps: Vaelor assumes success during ordinary sneaking. Only an exceptional obstacle requires a roll; the ability does not allow hiding where it is objectively impossible. Choose starting equipment according to the requirements this particular hero meets. The listed values form the basis of a level-one character; personality, name, relationships, and the reason for adventuring are decided during character creation.
