Longbow

A longbow is a weapon for a highly agile hero who wants a prominent role in ranged combat. In Elaria, it may be a reward from an experienced teacher, the product of a renowned workshop, or part of defending the hero's homeland. Its origins can give the character an interesting connection to the people who entrusted it to them.

It uses both hands and has a higher agility requirement than a shortbow. Sharing the crossbow's listed attack bonus does not make their roles in the story identical; the choice can depend on character and availability. Its greater length does not create an additional numerical range bonus. In combat, it still requires line of sight and a suitable position.

Attacks use Agility (AGI). The 2H designation means it uses both hands. The minimum is AGI7, and its catalog physical attack bonus (PATK) is +3. The price is 4 gp. A hero's total attack is then calculated from attributes and the applicable rules; the listed weapon bonus is not the entire final attack.
