Potions

Antidote

An antidote is a vial intended to address ordinary poisoning, rather than a general remedy for every unpleasant condition. In the story, it may come from an herbalist, alchemist, or experienced traveler familiar with the dangers of their region. Its value lies in its specific effect; a rare label or mysterious name alone does not make it universal protection.

The party may prepare it before traveling to places where poisoned food, toxic substances, or other ordinary sources of poisoning are a danger. It helps resolve existing ordinary poisoning, but the catalog grants neither preventive immunity nor automatic removal of a magical curse. When the condition's nature is unclear, first establish what the character is actually facing.

Rules effect: Removes ordinary poisoning. The price is 2 gp. When used, preserve the exact listed effect and duration. Its listed effect applies to the situation it is intended for. Additional bonuses, other forms of protection, and new magical abilities are not part of this entry.
