Potion of Strength

A Potion of Strength is temporary support for a moment when a character wants to rely on their muscles. The party may save it for a demanding encounter or a scene involving a physical obstacle. Its recipe in the story may seem rough or refined, but its effect remains the same: it increases Strength for the limited duration listed in the rules.

It helps with planning a crucial moment of an expedition, but does not replace a sensible approach, suitable equipment, or cooperation with others. Increased Strength does not promise success on every attempt and grants no further unlisted abilities. It therefore makes sense to time its use for a specific significant scene or battle; it does not permanently change the original character.

Rules effect: +2 STR for one significant scene or one battle. The price is 3 gp. When used, preserve the exact listed effect and duration. Its listed effect applies to the situation it is intended for. Additional bonuses, other forms of protection, and new magical abilities are not part of this entry.
