Potion of Agility

A Potion of Agility offers a temporary increase to the attribute associated with movement and dexterous actions. It may wait among a scout's supplies before a risky stretch of a journey or in the hands of a hero preparing for an important battle. Its origins and appearance can fit a local alchemical tradition without changing the duration or size of its bonus.

It is useful in a significant scene where Agility actually matters under the applicable rules. It guarantees neither flawless climbing, invisibility, nor escape from every trap. The hero must still make decisions based on the surroundings and their options. It gives the party a specific reason to prepare and agree on an approach in advance, rather than rely on an unlimited effect.

Rules effect: +2 AGI for one significant scene or one battle. The price is 3 gp. When used, preserve the exact listed effect and duration. Its listed effect applies to the situation it is intended for. Additional bonuses, other forms of protection, and new magical abilities are not part of this entry.
