Potion of Intelligence

A Potion of Intelligence provides limited support to Intelligence for a significant scene or battle. In the story, it may be a prized product of a scholarly workshop or a gift before a difficult task. Its use can be described as clearer concentration, but does not simply grant access to all the world's knowledge or add learned spells the character does not actually know.

It is best planned around a specific task that uses this attribute. A riddle still needs thought, and an unfamiliar phenomenon may require information or experience. An attribute bonus is not an automatic answer to any question. When casting spells, the other requirements, abilities, and restrictions set by the relevant rules must also be preserved.

Rules effect: +2 INT for one significant scene or one battle. The price is 3 gp. When used, preserve the exact listed effect and duration. Its listed effect applies to the situation it is intended for. Additional bonuses, other forms of protection, and new magical abilities are not part of this entry.
