Ink

Ink is a consumable supply for ordinary writing and may come in Elaria from a local workshop, an academy's supplies, or a messenger's equipment. Its color and container may express a tradition or origin. Appearance alone, however, does not mean magical contents or guarantee that a written message will seem trustworthy to its reader.

It is used with a suitable writing tool and surface. The party can record discoveries, draw a simple map, or prepare a message for an absent ally. The catalog grants ink no automatic ability to create magical scrolls, invisible writing, or someone else's signature. The story may involve a missing supply or a workshop's mark on a found vial.

Rules effect: Supply for ordinary writing. The price is 5 cp. This is a consumable supply; account for its consumption when used. Its listed effect applies to the situation it is intended for. Additional bonuses, other forms of protection, and new magical abilities are not part of this entry.
